Three competition dates. Three different BBQ challenges. The BBQ Cook-Off + Showdown brings pitmasters and backyard competitors to The Berry Farm for a season-long series built around great barbecue, serious competition and plenty of food to enjoy along the way.

How the Competition Works
This is a panel-judged BBQ competition. Competition entries are evaluated by a judging panel and are not distributed as samples to guests. Competitors will have small portions of their BBQ available for guests to purchase during the event, giving visitors an opportunity to try food from participating pitmasters while supplies last.
Strawberry Festival — February 21
The February 21 BBQ Cook-Off + Showdown takes place during Strawberry Festival. Admission for this date includes access to both the BBQ competition and Strawberry Festival. No additional festival ticket is required.

  • Sun, Feb 21 — St. Louis ribs + mystery item (during Strawberry Festival)
  • Sun, Apr 4 — Brisket (any style) + mystery item

Admission includes the cook-off and all seasonal festival attractions: hayrides, sunflower fields (seasonal), Scottish Highland cows, bounce floors, jumbo slides, obstacle course, water pillows, photo ops, and more.
